Don’t Let Me Go and original song by Mark Pountney

This performance was recorded at home. Don’t let me go would be recorded some years later for the Live at Home album. I hope to do anther studio recording of this with drums and horns.

Two mics were used for this recording; a vintage Electrovoice EV666 and a Electrovoice PL10 both running through an ART Pro VLA II.
The guitar is a Guild GAD JF48 .

A vintage Hofner Senator can be seen in the background. Recorded live in 2010. This is one of my original compositions influenced by Eddie Hinton and Otis

Lyrics

Hold on, baby to the good thing we got goin on
Lay your heart on line believe me I won’t do you no harm no
When you think of all those goodtimes we had you could lean on me when things got bad.
So don’t don’t don’t don’t let me go.

Come on baby you don’t have to go an say goodbye to a love that’s gone old
Please don’t let your lovin’ light  grow cold.
Many times have I walked that line. With trouble in heart and trouble in mind
So don’t don’t don’t don’t let me go.

There will be some blue skies after the rain, it would only make me sad to believe that I never see your light again

Come on baby you don’t have to go an say goodbye to a love that’s gone old
Please don’t let your love row cold.
Many times have I walked that line. With trouble in heart and trouble in mind
So don’t don’t don’t don’t let me go.
